Christians love, honor, and
serve JESUS CHRIST.
The Bible is our guide. It’s not Mary we
worship, but her Son. We worship JESUS rather than saints, angels,
doctrinal systems, or even God’s Spirit.

The O.T. Book of Job (1:1-11)
by Mark D. Meadows (June 1998)
In the land of Uz, away back when,
Lived a guy named Job, a man among men.
Our book says Uz is known to none --
It’s Edom, says Lamentations 4:21.
. . .
Job had more animals than he could need,
I’d hate to have had to carry their feed!
For the total tally, no less nor more,
Just count the feet, then divide by four.
. . .
Job had a family, happy and big;
They’d get together and each eat like a pig.
Came morning, Job made a sacrifice
In case this partying by them was a vice.
. . .
The angels met with God one day;
God said to Satan, “What do you say?
Have you noticed Job down on the earth,
He praises me with fear, and love, and mirth.”
. . .
Said Satan, “You give him everything;
Take it away and you won’t be his king.
My simple logic cuts to the chase --
Smite him -- he’ll curse you to your face.”
. . .
That’s all we know through verse 11.
Will Job curse God or make it to heaven?
If you want to know how this story ends,
Just keep on reading, or ask your friends.
